$170000 - $190000 per annum I am currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Engineer/Architect. As a Lead Data Engineer /Architect, you will play a crucial role in driving data solutions and leading technical initiatives for my client.
If you are passionate about data, possess advanced skills in SQL and Python, and have hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and CDP vendors this may be the role for you.
Role Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guide decision-making for the team. Set the technical direction for the project.
• Oversee data ingestion, transformation, and integration into the CDP, ensuring data quality.
• Make high-level design decisions to meet non-functional requirements. Assist in project planning, defining milestones, estimates, and task assignments.
• Establish and enforce data security measures, access controls, and encryption protocols.
• Define and implement monitoring tools, address performance issues, and optimize the platform's efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, marketers, and product managers. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering staff.
• Prioritize a strong customer-centric approach for positive outcomes.
• Assess the existing data framework, identify areas for enhancement, and prioritize improvements.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Mastery of SQL and Python, showcasing advanced proficiency.
• Advanced comprehension of cloud infrastructure pertaining to data, with a preference for expertise in Google Cloud Platform or AWS.
• In-depth understanding of database structures, theories, principles & practices.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a similar capacity.
• Practical, hands-on experience with data solutions, ideally with at least one major CDP vendor (While experience with Adobe Experience Platform is highly desired, it's not mandatory).
• Exceptional comprehension of agile principles, contributing to a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
• Solid grasp of CI/CD and Version Control using tools like Github or Bitbucket.
• Stong ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
