Lead Environment Recovery Officer
About the team
As part of the Environment and Heritage Branch, the Natural Areas Conservation business unit oversees the daily management and showcasing of a 13,000-hectare estate containing significant and diverse biological values.
About your new role
The recent Christmas Storms damaged more than 500 hectares of native forest across City-managed natural sites and private properties. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team to assist in steering therestoration efforts of these invaluable natural landscapes across the Gold Coast.
In this role you will develop and implement a forest recovery plan, utilizing remote sensing data and detailed monitoring techniques to assess damage and guide restoration efforts, including vegetation management and park safety measures.
