Working in partnership with the NSW Government, the Parklife Metro consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney.
Comprising, Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens and Webuild, the private sector partners are looking to build their metro rail expertise to deliver this city-shaping project, which will be delivered under a Public Private Partnership model and will provide a major economic stimulus for Western Sydney.
We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to work on a massive project.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing mechanical systems for large scale projects.
Responsibilities:
- To technically review the Mechanical design packages focusing on the compliance with contractual and standard requirement.
- To provide the technical support to the MEP Stations and Line Wide Design Managers in the coordination meetings with Designer, Client and 3rd Parties in general.
- To provide the technical support in the definition of interface related to Mechanical systems with Civil Works, Rail Systems, Rolling Stock, O&M, 3rd Parties in general.
- To support QS Team in the quantity take-off.
- To assist Procurement Team on technical queries during the bidding stage. To provide proper feedback for technical alignment of the quotation from the market.
- To follow up S/c and Manufacturers in the preparation and review of Material Submittal.
- To follow up S/c and Manufacturers in the preparation and review of Working Drawings.
- Bachelor Degree (Engineering) in Mechanical Engineering
- Basic knowledge of the Rail Systems.
- Good knowledge of the BMS System.
- Good knowledge of national (AS/NZ) and international standard (IEC, NFPA).
- Good knowledge of national and overseas market of Mechanical Product Manufacturers and Sub Contractors.
- Good knowledge of the subject related to the interface with Civil Works, permanent way, electrical systems.
- Basic knowledge of BIM.
