We are seeking an individual to provide safety leadership, logistical support and expertise, liaising closely with key stakeholders and management to ensure capability, understanding and compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
This is a full time permanent position currently based in Doncaster with WFH/Hybrid options available.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Safety the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Lead a team of Safety Advisors to support and utilise whole-of-business and expert knowledge and experience to influence, make sound decisions and align people and business strategies to achieve Health and Safety imperatives
- Lead and Support various complex situations simultaneously to positively influencing key stakeholders to achieve objectives
- Provide technical input into investigation reports and lead significant investigations where required
- Coordinate the analysis, review and development of a risk profile, hazard, incident and injury data by identifying local priority areas, evaluating opportunities and making recommendations for sound and practical improvement
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, processes and procedures, ensuring they are up to date and in line with relevant legislation, business requirements and industry best practice
About you
To be considered for this position you will possess:
- A postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification (or progress toward) with high level relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and sound experience
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent (Desirable)
- Demonstrated experience, ability and skills to manage OHS risks in a complex and highly regulated organisation
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of OHS legislation and experience in its practical application
- Proven track record in developing and implementing OHS management systems (e.g. ISO45001)
- Leadership, coaching and team skills to build a productive and cohesive team, and manage and develop others to achieve organisational goals and objectives
