About the Role
We are looking for an experienced psychologistto join a team whose key focus is delivering high quality education andsupporting the psychological profession. The APS encourages a diverse workforceand is seeking a professional who wants to make a difference.
The role is permanent part-time (FTE0.6 -three days a week) and would suit a candidate looking to scale back fromprofessional practice, returning to the workforce from parental leave, lookingfor more flexibility with work days, or someone simply looking for their nextcareer move. The successful candidate will be an experienced psychologist whowill take responsibility for the development and ongoing quality assurance ofthe Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) approved Supervisor Training Program.
The Lead Training Coordinator will haveoversight of the Supervisor Training Program, manageapproved trainers to coordinate the delivery of trainingand assessment processes nationwide. This critical role will also provideadvice, guidance and operational support to the Head of Education and Trainingin all aspects of the Supervisor Training Program, including processes involvedwith assessment, course content review, development and implementation.
We work in a hybrid model. Most team memberscurrently work from home, with the option to work in our modern Melbourne CBDoffice when it suits or as the business requires (i.e.. for large planningmeetings) with no mandated office days.
We have staff in most states and territories,and you don’t necessarily need to be Melbourne-based to be successful in thisrole.

Key Selection criteria includes:
- ApprovedSupervisor registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and have heldtheir registration for at least 5 years
- Apostgraduate Degree in Psychology and at least five years subsequent workexperience in principal supervisor roles;
- Experiencein professional psychology training roles;
- Acomprehensive knowledge of Psychology Board of Australia requirementsand full knowledge of the requirements of Supervisor Training parts 1through to 4;
- Experiencedpractitioner psychologist with a demonstrated depth and breadth ofknowledge of psychology practice and professional issues;
- Demonstrableleadership skills to manage a group of trainers;
- Abilityto provide advice and work collaboratively with both internal and externalstakeholders;
- Abilityto implement effective quality assurance processes and procedures;
- Strongproject management experience
- Ableto thrive in a team based environment.
