About the role:
As the Leader Condition Monitoring for Aurizon's Central Queensland Rail Network, you will assume a critical role in managing the provision of Condition Monitoring activities across the Network infrastructure ensuring the optimisation of business through addressing both immediate and longer-term predictive Network wide condition and reliability outcomes.
About you: * Lead the development and optimisation of Network wide Condition Monitoring strategies.
- Manage a team and provide leadership and coaching to all technical staff across the business on best practice application of Condition Monitoring techniques.
- Champion a safety culture which promotes, creates and maintains a safe approach in all aspects of the Network business operation.
- Manage the delivery and dissemination of all information, including best practice Condition Monitoring processes, specifications and applications addressing the variety and complexity of the Network assets to all relevant stakeholders.
- Manage currency of up-to-date technical knowledge of Condition Monitoring technologies and procedures through research, investigation, study and external networking.
- Manage processes to ensure the analysis of network condition, maintenance strategy effectiveness, reporting and auditing requirements are optimised.
- Lead problem solving activities to identify, monitor and resolve issues requiring time, research and Condition Monitoring investigation with the aim of delivering safe, viable and cost effective solutions.
- Manage the process for conducting quality audits on Condition Monitoring procedures and practices ensuring continual improvement.
- Monitor and report on the performance of Condition Monitoring systems, evaluating the suitability of the equipment and work practices.
- High level of experience and expertise in the application of various Condition Monitoring technologies.
- Strong influencing skills and experience in leadership roles.
- High level of research, development, conceptual and analytical skills to define the problem, problem solve, improve work practices and analyse data in a Network asset maintenance environment.
- High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including preparation of technical and quality procedures, and work instructions.
- High level of project management skills to plan, resource and implement commercially effective business programs.
- Knowledge of the maintenance, servicing and repair of Network infrastructure and associated equipment in depots and workshops.
- Substantial skills in developing an innovative and flexible response to changes in the work environment.
