We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Ramp Leader Crew Culture to join our Virgin Australia Sydney team. Your role is to lead, support, coach and develop the ramp service team members and ensure compliance to all Virgin Australia Group policies maximising the team's potential while ensuring a safe and efficient delivery of ramp handling services to the VA group.
In addition, you will:
- Actively manage all aspects of HR/IR people management including disciplinary processes and investigations.
- Manage individual team members' performance in line with Virgin Australia's performance management framework.
- Work closely with the Ramp Manager to promote, communicate, and execute the Ramp Services strategy.
- Be responsible for embedding and leading a positive people culture in line with the Virgin Australia Group's strategic vision and purpose.
- Work closely with the Ramp Duty Leaders through visible leadership in the operation monitoring team members' performance.
- Manage the health and wellbeing of our team members ensuring a proactive approach to our people's needs.
- Work closely with our People and Employment Advisory teams and Injury Management Specialist on all people matters.
- Minimum year 12 qualifications or equivalent
- Leadership experience in leading large diverse teams in a fast-paced business
- Leading remote workforces to achieve positive personal and business outcomes
- Aviation experience in airports and/or cabin operations
- Trusted people leadership capability
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage business leaders
- Emotional intelligence; the ability to read, monitor and understand behaviours and respond to affect positive outcomes
- Ability to drive positive customer outcomes through a large diverse workforce
- Visible leadership
- Good understanding of working to the scope of an Enterprise Bargaining Agreements
- Strong understanding of change management principles, techniques and tools
