We have a fantastic opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Leading Hand / Junior Supervisor to join our GFG Projects team for projects in the Toowoomba region. Joining GFG provides you with the opportunity to apply your vast experience in a challenging and rewarding environment. Reporting to and working closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager, the Leading Hand or Junior Supervisor will be hands-on, client focused, safety orientated and a lateral thinker who has a positive can-do approach. To be successful, candidates will be able to demonstrate: 2+ years practical experience in similar role specialising in commercial projects;Takes a hands on, practical approach to tasks, displaying refined carpentry skills and other multiple trade skills (ie. concrete, tiling, roofing);Advanced technical construction skills with the ability to solve problems and rectify technical issues;Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office;An excellent level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;Experience in subcontractor management and a well-developed knowledge of contracts would be preferred;Ability to lead and manage individuals and high performance teams;Time management, scheduling, and organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines This unique role offers the suitable candidate the opportunity to apply their vast experience and proactive management style in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
