Minara Resources has an opportunity for a Leading Hand Process Plant Operator seeking an even time roster, with career progression and professional growth opportunities. Our complex and technically challenging process plant consists of three operating areas: Ore Leach, Refinery and Utilities. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role The successful person will become a member of our hardworking and committed team who are responsible for operating in the Utilities department with a variety of fixed-plant circuits, which will include a selection of the following technologies: Sulphuric acid & Process gas production Power supply (gas & steam turbines) and Package Boiler operations Water treatment production consisting of Potable and Demineralised water Instrument and plant air supply to the processing plant Production of Hydrogen Sulphide for the precipitation of Nickle in the Refinery department About You This role would suit a motivated, focused and professional person, looking for a long-term career within a technically challenging and rewarding work environment. You will also have: A current and valid HR Drivers Licence (Advantageous) LF Licence & Front-End Loader Experience (Advantageous) Previous experience operating any of the above mentioned processes Sound knowledge of mechanical and chemical processes and chemical reagent hazards Demonstrated familiarity with individual and team based risk assessment tools and HSE procedures; Experience with systems and procedures used within a similar process industry Familiar working with permit to work procedures.
