Your New Opportunity:
We have a great new opportunity for a Leading Hand / Supervisor to join our team at our clean fill site in Oaklands Junction, VIC.
This is a hands-on role that will require you to operate dozers on a daily basis.
This position will is perfect for a Leading Hand looking for a step up to a Supervisory role.
You will have key responsibility in:
- Influence and educate staff in Safety, in order to promote a continuous improvement mindset.
- Report and record all incidents and hazards in a timely manner.
- Oversee the Clean Fill site operations, ensuring activity is in accordance with the rehabilitation requirements or fill plans.
- Assist with implementation of operational improvement opportunities.
- Manage receipt of materials ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Support Site Operations Manager in ensuring Planning Permits and EPA guidelines are adhered to.
- Ensure all company and hired equipment is maintained in line with manufacturers standards and are always operating safety and efficiently.
About you:
- Proven experience in a supervisor position, preferably within the Quarrying Industry, Earthmoving, or related industry.
- Machine GPS experience.
- Must hold a current LZ (Dozer) ticket and HR Truck license
- Outstanding organization and leadership qualities.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, sound communication skills and be able to negotiate at all levels.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Be self-motivated and have the ability to work without supervision.
- Ability to proactively solve problems and present practical workplace solutions.
