Our client is an industry leading civil contractor boasting a large portfolio with over 30+ years' experience on delivering safe and quality projects across subdivisions, civil infrastructure, commercial, residential, and industrial developments all over SEQ.
Due to current and upcoming projects, Red Rock Recruitment has multiple opportunities now available for Civil Leading Hands to join our client on long-term civil construction projects across SEQ. These positions will be responsible for leading crews of 6-8 workers, ensuring project milestones are delivered within company budgets and timeframes.
Successful candidates will have experience in:
- Previous experience leading / running crews on civil subdivisions
- Delivering high quality projects within budget and time constraints
- Arrangement of plant, labour and material resources for project
- Managing and supervising sub-contractors / employees daily and allocating tasks
- Effective communication skills with the ability to conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, daily pre-starts, permits etc.
- Understand and implement OHS and environmental requirements/procedures
- Reading and interpret site plans/blueprints and specifications
- Maintaining daily records of site activities
- Respond to and report on hazards, near misses and incidents
Position Requirements:
- White Card
- Current Valid Driver Licence
- Cert 3 in Civil Construction is highly desirable but not essential
- RII tickets are highly desirable but not essential
- Willing to submit to a Drug & Alcohol Screening prior to employment
- Proven leadership skills
- Exceptional communication - verbal, written and interpersonal
- Strong organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
- High emphasis on safety
