About the team and the role

The People and Corporate Affairs Team is responsible for the airport’s people strategy including Organisational Culture, Employee Engagement, Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition and Talent Management, Diversity, Equality and Inclusion and Human Resources Operations, as well as the airport's Corporate Services.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Learning and Organisational Development this role is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to further their career in the HR field. With a primary focus on Learning & Organisational Development (L&OD) coordination, you'll serve as the HR brand ambassador, supporting the Senior Manager, L&OD in the coordination and logistics of training programs and events, along with handling associated administrative tasks and responding to inquiries via the Learning inbox.

It is also important to note how integral this role is to the wider People team. The L&OD Coordinator acts as a support for the broader team, the team glue, championing the People and Corporate affairs team culture, enabling collaboration by coordinating team events and activities.
 

About you

We are looking for someone who can handle multiple tasks with ease. You should be approachable, friendly, eager to learn, and ready to tackle any challenge with a positive attitude. As a key player in our People and Corporate Affairs team, you'll embody SYD's values and promote a positive team culture. Excellent communication skills are a must, along with a collaborative mindset to build strong relationships.

We are seeking a candidate with a Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration, HR, or a related business field, or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will have similar experience in L&OD or across the HR lifecycle, demonstrate strong natural problem-solving abilities, thrive in fast-paced environments and are adaptable to change. Whether working independently or as part of a team, you're willing to do whatever it takes to ensure a smooth experience for our employees. You're also comfortable juggling various tasks and taking ownership to resolve issues when they arise.
