The purpose of the Learning & Development Specialist is to research, develop, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve learning solutions which address existing and/or emerging capability needs for Newcastle Mutual Group including Greater Bank and Newcastle Permanent Building Society Brands.
This position is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract and works with the wider learning team to provide our employees with the right skills, knowledge and support to improve organisational capability, enhance performance and deliver on organisational goals by facilitating the effective design and delivery of quality learning programs.
What will your key responsibilities include?
- Conduct training needs analysis and performance gap analysis to identify existing and/or emerging capability and/or performance gaps.
- Collaborate with the business to analyse capability requirements for strategic projects to determine learning solutions.
- Design, develop, deliver effective blended learning solutions to improve employee capability and enhance organisational performance.
- Evaluate effectiveness of learning programs; utilise relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes to learning programs.
- Learn to facilitate new training programs within a reasonable timeframe according to the duration and complexity of the program.
- Manage L&D projects within agreed scope, timeframes, and other agreed objectives.
- Review internal and external learning offerings on the Learning Curriculum to ensure content is meeting the needs of the business.
What are we looking for?
- Developed experience in instructional design, designing highly engaging and educational learning solutions.
- Demonstrated learning and development experience in the areas of consulting, needs identification, solution design, instrument development, facilitation, and digital asset creation.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects.
- Extensive experience collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to translate content, performance and capability requirements into sound instructional content.
- Demonstrated experience using a range of learning technologies to enhance and accelerate the learning experience and empower learners.
- High level proficiency of Microsoft Office and Adobe products
