Our government client is seeking an experienced Learning Specialist to plan, design and deliver significant executive stakeholder learning activities.
Key responsibilitiesThis role will perform Learning Specialist activities and has the following outcomes/accountabilities:
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify learning and development priorities across the department.
- Analyse performance metrics, feedback, and skill gaps to inform learning strategies.
- Design and develop learning curricula, training materials, and resources tailored to the needs of different employee groups and learning styles.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and presentations both in-person and virtually.
- Utilise various instructional techniques and technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Establish evaluation criteria and methodologies to measure the effectiveness of learning interventions.
- Collect and analyse feedback from participants to continuously improve learning experiences and outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal Learning and Development team, senior managers, and other stakeholders to align learning initiatives with program and departmental objectives and priorities.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to promote a culture of learning and development.
- A detailed knowledge and understanding of adult learning and modern instructional design principles, methodologies, and tools, is required with a minimum of 7 years learning/OCM consulting experience working in a similar capacity on ICT programs/projects.
- Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and training delivery.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, collaboration, presentation, verbal and written communication, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Certification in instructional design or training facilitation and experience in gamification in learning would be highly regarded.
- Experience in using a range of software products such as Microsoft Visio, Project, MS Office, Viva Engage, Forms and so on.
