Position Status: Ongoing contract of employment, with a 6-month qualifying period.The Faculty of Health Science, Community and Social Studies provides a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong industry links. The Department of Higher Education Nursing Programs is currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and qualified individual who can bring expertise in designing and delivering undergraduate curriculum to students across the Nursing Programs.In these positions, you will lead our students through a mix of theoretical teaching on campus and advanced simulation exercises held in our modern simulation apartments and clinical wards.You will work closely with our team of educators, implementing modern educational methods within a creative, integrated curriculum. Moreover, active involvement in research is anticipated as you help advance our academic community's progress and expansion.ABOUT YOUTo be considered for these roles, you will possess:
- Post graduate qualifications - Master of Nursing, Education, relevant specialty area or health related discipline.
- Have a high-level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management, organisational and planning skills
- A keen interest in applying contemporary, evidence-based teaching and learning methods to maximise student learning outcomes.
- Familiarity with simulation is essential as this is embedded into each year of Nursing.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching higher education students.
- Ability to positively respond to change and adapt to new situations and requirements.
