Job description

This is a part-time (3 days per week, 0.6 FTE) 6-month fixed term contract position based at the Lefevre Community Stadium in Osborne.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Active Living Team as our Lefevre Community Precinct Project Officer.

The Lefevre Community Precinct Project Officer plays a crucial role in enhancing community well-being by:

  • Creating and implementing various initiatives within the Lefevere Community Precinct implementation plan.
  • Collaborating with community members, local organisations, and stakeholders to identify and address the unique needs of the Lefevre community.
  • Engaging in community outreach.

Key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Develops, implement, and evaluate customised initiatives aligned with the operational themes of the Lefevre Community Precinct: Connect, Eat Well, Be Active, and Learn & Share.
  • Designs evidence-based programs that promotes community well-being.
  • Organises training sessions to empower community members with knowledge and skills related to health and wellbeing practices.
  • Fostering partnerships with local organisations.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A customer focus and passionate about delivering outcomes for our community.
  • Experience in, or a commitment to promoting community wellbeing and implementing evidence-based community health and wellbeing models.
  • Qualification or studying toward a qualification in public health, community development, health promotions or a related field.
  • Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain if successful.
  • Child Safe Environments Training, or willingness to undertake if successful.

This is a Level 3 position which has a current salary range of $50,005 – 53,777 (0.6 FTE) plus superannuation.
