Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Assistantwho has experience in Employment law, or similar areas with a keen interest to learn, grow and develop in this area.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for supporting legal professionals in providing top-notch legal services to clients. We are seeking someone with minimum 1 -2 years legal industry experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting lawyers and senior leaders with diary and email management
- Confirming meeting rooms and travel arrangements for authors
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence and briefs to Counsel
- Maintaining and organising files and documents (opening and closing)
- Taking instructions from authors and providing strong client liaison skills
- Communicating efficiently with clients, stakeholders and lawyers
- Dictation
- Electronic brief preparation including documents such as Affidavits and statements
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and printing
- Monthly billing and preparing cost agreements
- Confidence using Practice Evolve for electronic file management
- Provide additional support to other support staff and admin team
About you:
- 1 - 2 years approx. legal industry experience in Employment Law / similar areas
- Keen interest in Employment Law / Industrial Relations
- Can work full-time, Monday - Friday
- Confident, eager to learn and motivated to succeed
- Happy to work in a team environment and confident to ask questions
- Looking for a long-term role where you will be promoted, mentored and guided through your legal career
