The Role
We are looking for a full-time Legal Assistant to join our Brisbane office and work in our Real Estate team. You will work alongside a partner, several authors and a paralegal, with a large focus on leasing and commercial Real Estate.
The role will be varied including the following key responsibilities:
- Document drafting, amendment and management via the document management system;
- Accurately undertaking property searches as directed from time to time;
- Managing monies in trust accounts;
- Proactive diary management and meeting coordination;
- Occasional banking;
- Proactively assisting in management of high-volume development and leasing files; and
- Working with the other Legal Assistants in the team and broader Brisbane office.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ legal administration experience in a Real Estate team. We are looking for someone who is flexible and highly motivated with strong organisational skills, as well as a desire to provide exceptional support to their authors.
You must also demonstrate the following attributes:
- Ability to exercise initiative;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external parties;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines;
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team; and
- Excellent technical skills and understanding of software applications.
