Join ACCIONA and contribute to the legal excellence of our global operations. We are seeking a dedicated Legal Officer fluent in Spanish to provide crucial support to our Legal Department, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and support across all business functions.
- Conduct legal research on relevant issues, statutes, regulations, and court decisions.
- Assist the Senior Legal Counsel in managing litigation and arbitration matters.
- Liaise with external legal counsel, gather evidence and prepare legal submissions.
- Deliver presentations on legal matters to internal stakeholders.
- Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and witnesses to gather information and provide case updates.
- Contribute to monthly reports on legal activities and maintain department registers.
- Identify and escalate legal issues requiring attention to the Senior Legal Counsel or Head of Legal.
- Assist in developing and reviewing organizational policies and procedures for legal compliance.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Current Australian Practising Certificate or relevant State/Territory Certificate of Registration of Foreign Lawyer.
- 1-4 years of experience working on construction/engineering/infrastructure issues/projects.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders effectively.
