Our Client's firm is a busy practice in Williams Landing that specialises in family law. They are looking for an exceptional Office Assistant to assist the Practice Manager and our lawyers with day-to-day tasks including reception duties.
Ideally you will have some experience in family law and the use of LEAP however full training will be given. An attention to detail is critical, as well as an ability to work to deadlines as part of a very dedicated team. The role is 30-37.5 hours a week and salary will be commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities include:
Providing secretarial support to four family law lawyers (including an Accredited Specialist) and the Practice Manager
Drafting and amending Court documents and correspondence
Preparing briefs for Counsel
Arranging meetings and managing diaries
Telephone and face-to-face contact with clients
File management
General administrative tasks
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will need:
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously
Ability to multi task and prioritise work loads
Excellent spelling and grammar
Typing speed of 70+ WPM
Preference will be given to those who have experience using LEAP or similar legal software packages.
