About the role
Seeking an enthusiastic person to bring energy and passion to the role of Lifestyle Coordinator. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a high quality calendar of meaningful activities and events. This is a full time position for a fixed term contract that will support and coordinate staff, volunteers, and community engagement. Regis' Lifestyle program focuses on individual needs, preferences, and goal setting in order to support and empower our residents to maximise their independence and well being.
How you'll make an impact
- Develop lifestyle programs based on individual needs, preferences and goals with the aim to enhance Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Cultural, and Social well being
- Active participation in the delivery of activities
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate Lifestyle Assessments of residents
- Ensure complete and timely documentation of resident participation and engagement
- Manage and coach the lifestyle team to deliver engaging and meaningful lifestyle activities
- Support the orientation and training of new team members and volunteers
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families and volunteers
- Facilitate community engagement opportunities
- Demonstrated understanding of Leisure and Lifestyle programming and Aged Care Quality Standards
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
- Previous experience in a Lifestyle Assistant / Coordinator position (or similar)
- Previous experience in Dementia care
- Experience using a computerised Care Management System (desirable)
- Outstanding computer literacy skills
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
