McArthur is seeking a highly skilled Liaison Officer, who has an exceptional eye for detail and previously worked in an environment requiring a strict level of confidentiality. In this position you will provide high level administrative support to a Government Office 3 days per week.
This opportunity has an immediate start, up until December 2024 with a possibility of extension. Prior experience in a similar position and formal qualifications in an administrative field are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a broad range of confidential and high-level administrative support services.
- Coordinate and monitor correspondence movements, including the facilitation of and response to enquiries or concerns.
- Develop briefing materials for meetings, speeches, events and functions.
- Develop, maintain, and review stakeholder information to ensure all records are current.
- Maintain and review existing administrative procedures and processes, whilst actively promoting ideas that support and improve the delivery of functions.
- Maintain corporate records in line with policies and procedures.
- Support the delivery of special projects and a broad range of events, forums and functions including the annual ANZAC Day ceremony, Freedom of Entry marches and Civic and Ceremonial functions and activities.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of administrative support at a senior level.
- High standard of ethics and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of protocol and etiquette associated with a political office.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to utilise Microsoft Office.
- Effective time management skills, with prior experience coordinating meetings.
- Strong organisational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet often tight and conflicting deadlines.
Essential Criteria:
- Current Driver's License.
- Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
- Ability to provide proof of working rights.
- Ability to obtain a clear Police Check.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical assessment.
