Library Officer Reservations

As a Library Officer Reservations, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our library. Your responsibilities will include:

• Organising library reservations
• Accessioning all new items
• Assisting patrons with finding resources
• Maintaining a welcoming and organised library space for all to enjoy.

We are looking for candidates who are keen to learn, reliable, and eager to jump-start their career in the library field. If you possess good communication, technology skills and a positive attitude we encourage you to apply!

This position will require the successful applicant to work 140 hours within a four-week work cycle, accruing one rostered day off every twelve weeks. Evening and weekend shifts will be required. 

Qualifications and Experience
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

• Experience working in the area of customer service 
• Ability to use computer technology, Office software and the Internet 
• Hold a current Drivers Licence
• Hold a valid Working with Children Check, or the ability to one obtain prior to employment.
• Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one prior to employment.

Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 4 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $68,554.72 to $73,299.20 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
