The South East Queensland (SEQ) Schools Project is a key initiative of the Department of Education to provide public education facilities in the rapidly growing South East Queensland corridor. Within this project, seven new schools were delivered through Aspire Schools, under Queensland's Public Private Partnership (PPP) framework. Ventia delivers management, hard and soft maintenance services to all seven schools.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Project Director, the Life Cycle Planning and Delivery Manager's responsibilities include:
- Regular Life Cycle Plan and value Reconciliation ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures, indexation and spend
- Annual Planning through the development of comprehensive annual plans for the fund, outlining objectives, strategies, and resource allocation to optimize delivery of the Life Cycle requirements whilst ensuring contract performance, compliance and revenue/margin goals are achieved.
- Monitor and address variation requirements in relation to altered services, m2 and or other impacts to the fund.
- Conduct regular reviews of fund delivery processes and outcomes to assess quality, identify areas for improvement, and ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations and industry standards.
- This role will ensure the smooth operational delivery and ownership of the PPP Life Cycle fund, encompassing rigorous reconciliation, strategic planning, effective variation management, and continuous quality review.
- The Life Cycle Planning and Delivery Manager will drive tactical and operational guidance, ensuring Life Cycle outcomes are effectively implemented across the portfolio.
- Although primarily based in an office, travel to sites is required.
About You
- Blue Card - Working with Children
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Asset Management or suitable experience
- Qualifications in risk management would be highly regarded
- Current QLD Drivers Licence
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of quality, WHS, and environmental and risk management systems (including ISO9001, ISO4801, ISO14001, ISO55001)
- Advanced knowledge of relevant standards, regulations and statutory requirements
- Functional Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Word
- Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Suitable experience in position which provided base of technical proficiency and accountability for results in a similar sized contract
- Management experience in FM services industry
- Broad experience in the building/service industry and knowledge of building and service regulations and statutory obligations
- Highly developed general business management skills, including finance and computer literacy with the ability to analyse data and make business recommendations
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to train, coach and develop staff
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of work planning and scheduling practices and procedures
- Highly articulate, with effective oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to give sound advice to management
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships at senior levels
- Ability to identify and drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
- Highly effective planning, reporting and prioritising skills
- Results-driven, with the ability to influence and manage a range of internal relationships.
