Informatech are supporting a large Defence project to deliver major infrastructure upgrades to the joint forces and require a Linux Engineer to deliver the implementation and assurance of the Information Environment. We will consider candidates in either a contract or permanent engagement. An active NV2 is required to apply for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical knowledge in design, build and transition activities.
- Contribute, author and review the development of the system Designs, including (Solution, High-Level, Detailed) and translate specifications (functional, governance, performance) and requirements (functional, processual, procedural, security) into operational documentation.
- Conduct capability and concept development in alignment with technical requirements.
- Conduct Standards and Framework GAP analysis and investigation activities.
- Conduct Security requirements analysis and development.
Skills and Experience
- Design, implementation, configuration and security hardening skills for Linux Infrastructure technologies and services; specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Satellite, SELinux.
- Experience in designing, configuring, implementing and supporting Linux operating systems, Automation and Orchestration technologies within Australia Government agencies.
- Detailed knowledge and skills in the design, implementation, and configuration of Automation and Orchestration technologies and services; specifically Ansible, Ansible Tower, Jenkins.
- Detailed knowledge and skills in DevSecOps technologies and principles; specifically Infrastructure-as-code, Git, Powershell, Python, Ruby or other similar languages.
- Knowledge and skills in logging and SIEM platforms
- NV2 clearance already established is essential.
