Unique opportunity for a solicitor looking for the excitement of litigation with the benefits of working in-house for a top 15 ASX listed company. Several newly created roles are available in our motor vehicle litigation team at Suncorp.
What you'll do
Join our dynamic in-house litigation team for an exciting opportunity to handle a diverse range of matters. As a key member, you'll be responsible for providing strategic legal advice, particularly in motor vehicle litigation, while also tackling general commercial litigation, debt recovery, and insurance cases.
You'll work closely with our strategic motor litigation team, contributing to innovative approaches to legal services and aligning with our business strategy. Unlike traditional law firms, we focus on results rather than billable hours, empowering you to efficiently manage a large portfolio of files autonomously.
Key responsibilities include managing high-volume defence litigation motor claims, attending hearings and conferences, maximizing recovery opportunities, and collaborating with team members to deliver exceptional outcomes.

What you'll bring
- Formal legal qualification (Mandatory)
- Current Australian practising certificate (Mandatory or able to obtain)
- Previous and relevant experience in a litigation environment, including understanding of debt recovery actions, court rules, regulations and guidelines (Desired)
- Understanding of in house and/or insurance environment (Desired)
- Experience in the financial services industry, ideally insurance (Desired)
- Experience providing legal services across diverse environments (Desired)
