- Employment Term: Permanent Full Time Opportunity - 76 hours per fortnight. Hybrid working.

Your part in our UnitingCare Community team
We are currently seeking a Local Service Manager to join our Lifeline Community programs team on a full-time permanent basis. The purpose of this state-wide position is to manage and develop Lifeline Community programs, provide practice leadership to employees, facilitate the development of quality practice and ensure effective co-ordination of service delivery.
This role is required to work cooperatively across UCQ programs to derive maximum benefit for people accessing services and enhance community engagement with Lifeline Queensland services. Build, develop, lead and manage high performing teams across services. This will include managing the financial, human resources and operational management of all service and program areas.
Duties of this role include;
- Supervise, develop and support the Leaders within services and programs to ensure a high standard of service and compliance
- Lead and manage the continuous improvement of all aspects of these programs and seek out opportunities for expansion
- Develop, achieve and report on operational plans for all services within the designated area of responsibility
- Develop and maintain effective networks, relationships and partnerships both internally and externally
- Maintain a working knowledge of contemporary research and best practice models in the field
- Work within relevant quality and risk frameworks and guidelines in accordance with relevant standards
- Drive continuous improvement activity
Please note this position will include some travel as required.
What makes a difference for us?- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field including Social Work, Psychology or Social Science (Lesser formal qualifications with acquisition of considerable skills and extensive and diverse relevant experience to an equivalent standard)
- A positive blue card
- A current driver licence
- Significant experience in providing services related to Crisis Intervention and suicide prevention
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve service performance outcomes together with an ability to provide quality supervision and training
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams geographically dispersed
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Thorough understanding of program management principles and techniques
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary human resource management practices
