Joining the team at BlockTexx, represents a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a key member of a new innovative and bold textile recovery business which is committed to making real impacts on improving our environment. BlockTexx is a clean technology company which diverts unwanted textiles away from landfill and converts the fabrics into high value raw materials for reuse. Polyester and cellulose are recovered from textiles and clothing via a commercial scale, fibre separation process and transformed into valuable raw materials.
The state-of-the-art textile recovery facility is located in the Logan region of Brisbane. The facility is designed to initially process 4000 tonnes of textiles during the first year of operation and is expected to be scaled up to process up to 10,000 tonnes during the coming years of operation.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Supply Chain and Office Manager you will provide critical administration and customer service support to ensure an efficient and timely supply chain of inward bound raw materials and outward-bound final products is achieved.
As BlockTexx’s operations are being scaled up and expanded the role would suit an individual who is flexible and versatile and can adapt to a dynamic environment where every day is different.
Key Position Responsibilities
- Establish and monitor reports using internal software to monitor goods inwards and goods outwards, and associated storage levels.
- Assist with onboarding new customers including filing details in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program.
- Coordinate all collection and deliveries associated with BlockTexx logistics and decommissioning partnerships.
- Data entry of all logistics touch points.
- Co-ordinate the input of data into an Inventory Management System
- Create Purchase Orders / Sales Orders
- Invoice customers and follow up slow payments to ensure timely cash flow management.
- Contribute to identifying and developing improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness of administration and operational processes.
- Assist with ordering and managing contract suppliers.
Key Position Requirements
- Proven skills and experience associated with undertaking hands-on administrative and customer service tasks associated within a supply chain connected to a manufacturing or similar operation.
- Ability to work unsupervised and be able to solve day to day problems associated with the operation of a supply chain.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills including an attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to be able to ‘think on your feet’ and adapt in order to cater for changing priorities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills; including the ability to effectively communicate and cooperate with members of the team and external partnerships.
- Proficiency with using Microsoft applications and Logistics Management software for the entry and compiling of data and to create and prepare reports.
Citizenship/Visa Status - To be appointed to this position you must be an Australian Citizen, have a permanent resident status or hold a current visa permitting you to work in Australia.
