What is the role?
A full time permanent opportunity is available as a Logistics Supervisor based at our Kenwick Head office located within Roe Highway Logistics Park. Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the delivery of safe, efficient and effective logistics to KTrans clients and adhere to contractual obligations.
As the Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring KTrans high quality and premium services are maintained ,whilst communicating directly with clients in a customer facing position. You will lead your team by being engaging, driven and operating with a proactive mindset and ensuring both yourself and your team maintain the Company's five pillars culture.
Job Functions:
Contract Logistics
- Sound knowledge and understanding of client contract/s with regards to KPI's, rates and delivery expectations
- Effective communication with client representatives to ensure they feel they are a Business Partner with KTrans
- Communication with the Linehaul, Express, Warehouse and PUD team to ensure all the clients logistics requirements are being met within the required timeframes
- Ensure all freight, demurrage and other costs are charged as per contract rate card weekly
- Assist Head of Logistics with monthly reporting, invoicing and contract feedback
- Prioritise and multitask in a fast paced environment
- Ensure all TMS bookings submitted by client and/or raised internally are rated according to the contractual rates and closed once delivery is completed with priority to ensuring profitability on each booking
- Effective management of logistic mailbox, ensuring all parties are communicated within a high level of customer service with appropriate time frames

- Act as a role model for a positive HSE Culture in the workplace
- Comply with KTrans Risk Management, Quality Assurance and Health and Safety management systems.
- Drive for zero harm and promote safety
- Understand client safety culture, concerns and initiatives and where KTrans can partner and contribute

- Be visible, driven and operate with a proactive mindset to assist aligning team members to the Company "Five Pillars" culture
- Spend regular time in field, be interactive with your team and across operations and conduct site visits where possible to client sites.

- Transport and Logistics experience
