The Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) is seeking an APS 6 Logistic Support Manager to work in our Asset Management Units.
Your work within the team, delivering integrated logistic support, will directly support the Air Mobility Group within the Royal Australian Air Force achieve their objectives. You will work on a range of sustainment activities in support of C-130J Hercules aircraft, C-27J Spartan aircraft and associated systems. You will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Australian Public Servants, Australian Defence Force members, Contractors and our Industry Partners.
As the Logistics Support Manager, you will be -
- Accountable for a variety of activities and plans related to integrated Logistics Support and associated disciplines, that support the sustainment and acquisition aspects of materiel logistics;
- Able to identify and interpreting relevant legislation, policies and strategies within Defence materiel logistics and apply these in support of sustainment and acquisition activities;
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders and subject matter experts to resolve materiel logistic issues;
- Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of actions;
- Communicate objectives through high level written documents and presentations for higher delegation consideration.
About our Team
The Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) at RAAF Base Richmond is a Business Unit within the Airlift and Tanker Systems branch of the Aerospace Systems Division. ALSPO is the in-service support agency responsible for sustaining and enhancing the RAAF's C-130J Hercules and C-27J Spartan aircraft. ALSPO, in partnership with industry, exists to support Air Mobility Group achieve its mission by providing effective sustainment support solutions.
The Hercules Asset Management Unit within ALSPO is a highly capable and professional team operating in a dynamic and challenging work environment supporting Defence capability. Given the integrated nature of our business, building and maintaining cooperative and collaborative relationships are fundamental to our success.
Located in Greater Western Sydney at RAAF Base Richmond, an hour west of Sydney, the Base has an employee accessible gym, tennis and squash court, pool and cinema. ALSPO prides itself on having a strong wellbeing and culture program available and flexible work arrangements can be negotiated.
