We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Logistics Trainee. This role offers the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of logistics, with support for further education and training.
In this role you will assist our Stores team to order, receive, handle, sort and dispatch goods. As a trainee we will provide practical guidance and supervision, meet all costs associated with obtaining your forklift license and support you to take on further studies if desired (Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations.)
This is a permanent full time salaried role, Monday to Friday 40 hour week, with occasional Saturday work.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Some interest and exposure in inventory management
- Good computer skills
- High attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- Good team player
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry up to 15 kgs
- Current driver's license
- Valid Visa with unlimited work rights.
Your responsibilities (not limited to):
- Receiving, scanning, sorting and placing incoming goods on shelves
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory and stock levels
- Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently
- Unloading and loading of containers/vehicles of goods both inwards and outwards
- Operating computer systems to obtain details of stock quantity and location
- Participate in regular stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy
- Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment
- Working in accordance with strict Work Health and Safety guidelines
- Other duties to assist the team as required.
