Quelltaler Wine Estate, based in the Clare Valley, is part of the Randall Wine Group.
The Randall Wine Group has significant vineyard holdings across most growing regions in South Australia. The largest producer of luxury bulk wine, we are also famous for our wine brands, Penny’s Hill Wines in McLaren Vale, Gemtree Wines in McLaren Vale and Seppeltsfield Wines in the Barossa.
Quelltaler Wine Estate is located in the small town of Watervale in the heart of the Clare Valley. Quelltaler owns 470 hectares of premium vineyards and are planning to develop a further 80 hectares, all in the southern region of the Clare Valley.
We are currently seeking an experienced Machinery Maintenance Manager for our fleet of vineyard equipment which consists of Utes, tractors, fungicide and herbicide units, slashers, cultivators, grape harvester, bin trailers and gondolas, forklifts and various other small engines.
About the Position
The Machinery Maintenance Manager, reporting to the Vineyard Manager has responsibility for performing a wide variety of tasks including:
- Service and maintain all vineyard equipment
- In field repairs – across various vineyards in the Clare Valley
- Organise quotes and parts
- Calibrate various implements and machinery
- Management of the workshop
- Record keeping
Remuneration will be negotiated according to experience and qualifications of the candidate.

- Highly competent with diesel engines
- Electrical and hydraulic fault diagnostic ability
- General Machinery Maintenance skills and experience
- Fabrication and welding skills an advantage
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the job
- Highly enthusiastic
- Hard working and self-motivating
- Flexibility with hours – call outs for breakdowns may be required
- Dedication to the role
- Ability to work independently and positively with others in team
- Excellent communication
- Problem solving and trouble shooting

This position at times is a physically demanding role and therefore a satisfactory functional assessment will be required. Employment will also be subject to a police clearance.
