Job Description:
We are seeking an Infrastructure and Maintenance manager to join our team at ‘Merrang’, near Mortlake, Victoria. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and strategising farm infrastructure and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategise and execute key infrastructure projects, including stock water installation and fencing upgrades
- Scheduling and execution of farm machinery servicing and repairs
- Regular and detailed fencing and water maintenance to allow for high-quality animal handling and management
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining infrastructure
- Experience with cattle and livestock is a bonus
- Cert 3 in one of these trades isn't mandatory but is a significant advantage.
- Diesel Mechanic
- Fitter & turner
- Boiler making
- Carpentry
- A high attention to detail
Other skills & knowledge
- Understanding and experience in working large-scale water systems for livestock
- Knowledge and understanding of maintaining cattle electric fence system
- Operating medium to large size machinery like tractors
- Vehicle servicing experience
