Youthworks Conference Centres is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator for our team at Shoalhaven, situated on the Shoalhaven River, just outside Nowra. This permanent full time role oversees maintenance on the property. Your key role will be responsibility for day to day maintenance operations, contributing to our guests satisfaction through providing high quality service to Youthworks' standards.
Youthworks Conference Centres provide a place of temporary community for groups for relational and personal growth. We are intentional partners to schools, churches and like-minded community groups through networking, collaboration and facilitation of Word ministry. We are providers of outstanding venues in amazing locations and Christian hospitality. We believe our interactions with our guests and each other are opportunities to promote and proclaim the gospel.
About the role:
- No split shifts – (38 hour week)
- Company vehicle and tools provided
- Large variety of tasks
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the maintenance team in day to day operations
- Maintain stock inventory to ensure maintenance operations can happen effectively
- As required, be on call outside of hours on a rotating roster, to facilitate unforeseen maintenance issues as they arise
- Organisation and supervision of external maintenance contractors
- Repair and upkeep of existing buildings and property in cooperation with maintenance team members
The successful candidate will have:
- Building trade qualifications
- Proven Industry experience – at least 3 years
- Experience in leading a team
- Proven knowledge of Industry and Safety Standards
- Well-developed problem solving skills
- The ability and availability to be on call outside of hours as required
- A systematic and focused approach to tasks with a strong attention to detail and time management
- A strong work ethos and the ability to work independently and with a wide range of staff to achieve effective outcomes
- A willingness to work within an overtly Christian environment and with an Anglican organisation
What we would really like you to have:
- A personal Christian faith
- Manual drivers license
- Hep A and Hep B immunisations
- Management and/or supervision qualifications
- Worksafe NSW licenses
- Chainsaw certification/s
- Commercial building experience
Current drivers licence and own transport are essential as there is no public transport anywhere near our Shoalhaven Conference Centres.
