Maintenance Design Engineer

Reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for design, draw, evaluate and project manage industrial designs for the roll forming, material handling and packaging equipment, of our operations.

Working on a Monday to Friday roster from 6am to 2:30pm, you will join a small team responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of the manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities:

• Investigate appropriate materials and safe production processes when designing or improving existing equipment
• Draw components within existing metal manufacturing equipment and profiles
• Create and produce engineering and technical drawings for fabrication, manufacture and assembly
• Oversee progress of build programs for assigned projects to budgets and time scales
• Present designs, samples or final work to Maintenance Engineering Manager and Executive team members as required  

• Qualified Industrial or Mechanical Engineer or Draftsmen with mechanical background
• Minimum of 3 years Industrial or Mechanical design work
• Proficient with CAD software and preferable Solidworks
• Strong computer and Microsoft office skills (Office 365, Excel Advance)
• Experience in Manufacturing environment preferable
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical documentation
