About the Position
Our Pentarch Forestry division based in Herons Creek NSW are looking for a responsible, self-motivated and organised Maintenance Fitter to join their team. Reporting to the maintenance supervisor, the Maintenance Fitter is responsible for maintaining and operating the plant and mechanical equipment and ensuring that all are consistently in optimum working order.
This is a casual to perm role (Afternoon shift 3.00-11 Mon - Thu and 12-6pm Fridays)
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintenance planning
- Service and repairs of mobile plant, machinery, and equipment
- Maintenance of the high-pressure hydraulic systems
- Accurate recording of machinery service and repairs
- General welding and repair
- Responding to breakdowns and call outs
- Diagnostic assessment of equipment
- Taking part in a standby/call out roster as required.
- Self-motivated
- Welding experience and Certificate 3 in Mechanical Engineering
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, valves, and hose fitting (desirable)
- A great work ethic and be a team player.
