We are looking to improve our Maintenance team with a highly qualified and experienced Fitter who has the skills to support the growing production demands of the business. This is a key role in our future and should attract a person who is willing to go the extra mile and ensure that the job is done correctly and on time and who is looking to make an impact on the success of the company.
Typical Duties Include:
- Preventative maintenance
- Time critical breakdowns
- Process improvement and upgrades
- Liaise with Contractors onsite
To be considered for this position the ideal candidate MUST meet the following:
- Industrial electrical experience
- Diagnostic & problem solving skills
- Permanent Australian Work Rights
- Hydraulic/pneumatic experience is a necessity
- Experience and working exposure to a variety of valves (i.e. proof processing, sanitary, mix proof, actuated, PSV’s, ball, gate, check & safety)
- A restricted electrical licence would be a definite advantage
- C Class drivers license
- Ability to work in a team environment and unsupervised
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Effective communication skills
- Able to work to and interpret drawings
- Desire to learn with initiative to ask questions
This role is on permanent rotating roster with the opportunity to experience a wide variety of different work.
Advantageous Skills and Experience
- Practical computer skills and experience using a SCADA system
- A strong safety focus as well as a strong focus on quality of work
- Flexibility to work extended shifts if required
- Good time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Any qualifications or skills will be highly regarded
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvements
- Forklift License advantageous
