The Maintenance Fitter role plays a pivotal role in the maintenance activities for machinery and equipment, offering crucial online production support. A key responsibility is to optimise the utilisation of machines, ensuring operators can operate efficiently. Additionally, the position entails active participation in the design and fabrication of essential jigs and fixtures. Located West of Sydney.

Description

Overall, the key areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to):

• Undertake maintenance and operational tasks on a variety of machinery.
• Attending to breakdowns.
• Implement preventive maintenance procedures for all machinery and equipment.
• Verify and secure guards and safety devices, ensuring their optimal condition.
• Undertake project and developmental assignments as assigned.
• Collaborate in the planning and execution of machinery upgrades, retrofits, and system enhancements.
• Identifying areas for continuous improvements.
• Manage spare parts inventory and oversee consumable stock levels.
• Uphold workshop cleanliness standards for effective housekeeping.
• Complete all work order and time management documentation as specified by the Maintenance Manager.

Profile

To be considered for this role you will have/ be:

• Have a Mechanical Fitter qualification.
• A background in Manufacturing is a must.
• A forklift licence would be advantageous.
