SalaryAs one of Australia’s largest poultry producers, Baiada is well known for its production of premium products including the much-loved Steggles and Lilydale free range brands. Chandler Macleod is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to become part of the Baiada workforce at the Mount Kuring-Gai site.
In this role you will be reporting to the Site Manager, and you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the maintenance team. This role requires a trade qualified, self-motivated person, who can demonstrate strong leadership and the ability to meet business objectives.
In your new role of Maintenance Manager, you will:
- Ensure the maintenance department operates efficiently
- Ensure compliance of Baiada’s safety policies and procedures and other statutory and legal requirements
- Manage staff and resources to ensure maintenance requests are prioritised appropriately to meet business needs and expectations
- Drive and model a leadership style and behaviour that supports a safety culture at all times
- Manage department budgets ensuring costs and expenditure are in line with forecasts
- Facilitate leadership and capability through effective coaching and mentoring to ensure people are delivering exceptional service
- Drive the operational excellence strategy ensuring continuous improvement is embedded throughout the processing operation
Requirements:
- Extensive management experience in production, ideally within the food processing industry
- Trade qualified with electrical or mechanical background, along with Certificate IV in Frontline Management or equivalent
- Structured training in all facets of WHS, including contractor management
- Excellent people management skills
- Strong planning skills for overseeing a maintenance workforce with overlapping shifts
- Ability to make quick and safe decisions
