The role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and experienced Maintenance Officer to represent Danihers Facility Management at our client site in Bentleigh. At Danihers, we pride ourselves on our values, our people, the environment and sustainability.
Do you have...
- Strong work ethics, including the ability to work autonomously, or as part of a team.
- Strong experience in grounds and general building maintenance, preferably in a school environment.
- Good time management and excellent communication skills.
- An understanding of OH&S, Quality and Environmental Management systems.
- Passion to deliver high-quality services.
- Ability to work under pressure, including an eye for detail.
- Carpentry experience or are you an experienced handy man?
What you need to succeed:
- A professional attitude and consultative approach to issues, tasks and ideas.
- Well-developed decision-making skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without losing focus on service delivery.
- Demonstrating a priority for high quality in process and outcomes.
- The ability to deliver integrity by building a trusting & open relationship with clients & business partners.
- Being flexible is a must.
- Always approachable by exerting excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Exhibit passion about the industry and show pride in the responsibilities of the role.
- A valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check, or willingness to apply.
Previous experience working in a fast paced school environment is advantageous, but not essential.
Trade qualification in carpentry or building construction is essential to be successful in this role.
