The Opportunity
We have an exciting permanent, full-time opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our Assets & Property Team.
Based within one of our residential facilities in Launceston, this hands-on role will see you maintaining our facility in all aspects from routine building repairs, light construction, applying preventative measures as required, liaising with contractors as well as engaging with our staff and consumers to assist in the movement and delivery of equipment and furniture.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate sound practical skills, be able to manage their time effectively and develop professional relationships in accordance with SCC codes of conduct.

Key responsibilities of the role:
- Completion of maintenance tasks within allocated timeframes
- Completion and maintenance of records to meet organisational and statutory requirements
- Minor repairs to building facilities, plant, tools and equipment are completed in established timeframes
- Preventive maintenance schedules are maintained
What you’ll need:
- Using our Asset Management System you will need to:
- Complete reactive maintenance tasks within allocated timeframes
- Complete and maintain records to meet organisational and statutory requirements
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are maintained and evidenced
- In addition:
- Minor repairs to building facilities, plant, tools and equipment are completed in established timeframes
