The Opportunity

Manly Gardens Retirement Village is a well-established and vibrant community set on a elevated site just a short distance from stunning Moreton Bay and Manly Harbour. As our newest Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks around our retirement village. Working closely with our small team, you will ensure our buildings & fixtures are well-maintained and presentable. The ideal Maintenance Officer will be friendly, approachable to residents, enjoy working autonomously and have general maintenance or 'handyperson' experience. Located in Manly, you will be working in a tight-knit community where you will thrive in making our community a better place for residents!

This new opportunity is a permanent full-time position working Monday-Friday 7-3pm

You will

• You will attend to various maintenance requests to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, staff and others
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure projects undertaken are safe, timely and completed to a high standard
• Oversee maintenance work undertaken by Contractors within the community
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules 
• Be a friendly face to the residents and work alongside a fantastic team!
• Drive our residents around to places of interest on occasions with our village minibus (LR license)
• Please note - this is not a gardening role. Gardening is only required to assist with overflow tasks

What you will bring

• Experience in General Maintenance and 'Handyperson' roles (highly desired)
• A warm & caring personality with an interest to make a difference every day
• Valid driver's licence (required)
• Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not have one, we can complete for you)
• Current COVID-19 Vaccinations up-to-date (required)
