Maintenance Planner
Calidus Resources Limited are an ASX listed gold exploration and development company who operates the Warrawoona Gold Project located near Marble Bar in the East Pilbara district of Western Australia and has recently acquired the Nullagine Gold Project.
The Warrawoona Gold Project is expected to have a mine life of initially 8 years with significant potential to further resources within the region.
About the role
This is a great opportunity to join Australia’s newest gold producer, where you will have the opportunity to work within a highly experienced and knowledgeable team of Maintenance personnel.
Working closely with the Maintenance & Electrical Superintendents, we are looking for a Maintenance Planner who will primarily be responsible for ensuring that the processes that are in place for maintenance improvement strategies are maintained. You will regularly liaise with the process and maintenance teams to align the maintenance plan with production requirements, ensuring maintenance tasks are planned so the process team can succeed.
This role is a permanent opportunity offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, FIFO from Perth.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the planned maintenance system in accordance with plant maintenance and statutory requirements
- Continually review the backlog of maintenance work in Pronto and close out or reschedule work orders accordingly.
- Understand monthly production forecast and ensure the maintenance plan aligns to forecast and communicate with maintenance teams
- Prepare the weekly schedule of all maintenance work and distribute to maintenance and production personnel as part of the weekly planning meeting
- Ensure all scheduled work for the week is fully resourced with required labour and materials
- Liaise with the store to ensure all stock and non-stock items will be available to meet the maintenance schedule on a weekly basis
- Liaise with key suppliers for equipment, parts and labour as required and account for supplier availabilities into the maintenance schedule
- Track equipment performance through relevant spreadsheets relating to plant throughput and run hours on a continual basis and schedule equipment rebuilds accordingly
- Ensure all condition monitoring of key equipment is planned and completed per manufacturer recommendations and/or industry best practice, raise work orders accordingly prior to failure.
- Prepare shutdown plans on Gannt chart and resource with supervisors, shift bosses, maintenance superintendent, manager and contractors
The Person
We are seeking applications from experienced personnel who have:
- 5+ years’ experience working on processing plants with preventative maintenance programs and systems
- 2+ years’ working in a maintenance planning capacity, ideally within a processing plant
- Experience with maintenance planning and work orders utilising software such as Pronto
- Experience dealing with supply functions
