Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team their manufacturing team located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of the manufacturing facility by effectively planning and scheduling maintenance activities. Experience in the food manufacturing sector, proficiency in SAP CMMS systems, and ideally a trade qualification are highly desirable for this position.
Duties:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all equipment and machinery in the dairy production facility.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to prioritise and schedule routine maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades to minimise downtime and optimize productivity.
- Utilise SAP CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, equipment history, and inventory management.
- Coordinate with production and procurement departments to ensure timely availability of required materials, parts, and resources for scheduled maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and proactively recommend preventive maintenance measures.
- Analyse equipment performance data to identify trends, assess maintenance needs, and implement improvement strategies to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and maintenance logs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimising maintenance processes and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies throughout all maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance staff as needed, including troubleshooting equipment issues and facilitating training programs.
Skill Requirements:
- Previous experience in maintenance planning within the food manufacturing industry, preferably in dairy production.
- Proficiency in SAP CMMS systems or similar computerised maintenance management software.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement data-driven maintenance strategies.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements relevant to the dairy industry.
- Ideally, a trade qualification or relevant technical certification in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
