Maintenance Planner
Mechanical or Electrical Engineer, trade and/or equivalent with minimum 5 years trade experience
- Manufacturing FMCG environment
- Minimum 3 years experience in reliability/maintenance planning using SAP
- Excellent computer skills and CMMS experience
This role is principally about planning maintenance activities via SAP and managing contract service providers. This role also co-ordinates maintenance activities and resources on the site and develops timelines and budgets.
* Administering all aspects of planned maintenance in SAP
* Liaising with the Maintenance teams as well as contractors, Manufacturing Managers and Production Schedulers
* Sponsoring compliance with statutory and company policy guidelines with particular focus on work method safety and routine servicing of essential services
* Plans major refit activities across the calendar year establishing resources, budgets and production availability
* Coaching other Maintenance staff in best practice maintenance methodologies
* Reviewing suitability of component specification
* Developing detailed equipment BOM's in SAP
* Developing and administering Maintenance KPI's
* Compiling and maintaining equipment histories
* Managing some minor replacement projects
* Helping to support other Engineering Services activities to cover absenteeism
* Implementation of line maintenance activities.
* Coaching and development of Tradesmen
* Planning of line maintenance activities.
* Plans to ensure that all materials for the above are available (timely)
* Checks effectiveness of maintenance activities
* Manages maintenance systems
* Mechanical or Electrical trade and/or equivalent with minimum 5 years trade experience
* Minimum 3 years experience in reliability/maintenance planning
* Excellent computer skills and CMMS experience
* Theoretical and practical understanding of best practice maintenance concepts including RCM methodologies
* Broad practical experience with Root Cause Analysis and the associated attention to detail
* Exposure to FMCG/Food manufacture.
Initially a contract role, with a view to a permanent position.
