We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance of Borals fixed and HME assets across our thriving Regional QLD Quarries & Concrete business. This pivotal role can be based at any of our regional QLD offices conveniently located in Toowoomba, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, or Cairns.
Reporting to the Asset Manager the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising maintenance activities across Borals regional QLD Concrete and Quarries fixed plant and heavy mobile equipment. This role will identify, coordinate and project manage fixed plant and HME maintenance to meet plant availability and maintenance budget requirements.
Your day will involve:
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in coordinating and supervising maintenance activities across our regional quarries and concrete operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating maintenance with operations and external contractors to ensure business continuity and service demands, including onsite supervision of medium to large scale maintenance works.
- Develop scope of works, undertake tender process, review quotes, and awarding of maintenance works to external contractors.
- Collaborating with operations to schedule major plant shutdowns for maintenance.
- Coordination of contractors, suppliers, and internal operations for scheduled maintenance shutdowns.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with Boral safety management system
- Working with operations and asset manager to manage fixed plant and HME maintenance budgets.
- Liaising with both internal and external customers, as well as suppliers in a professional manner.
- Manage all work order administration and reporting requirements.
What We're Looking For:
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
- A minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in maintenance activities, preferably within a heavy industry, involving either fixed or heavy mobile equipment.
- A minimum of 3 years' proven experience in a Maintenance Supervisor role.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance regulatory requirements.
- Proficient skills in the Microsoft Suite and a sound understanding of computerised maintenance management systems such as Maximo or similar.
