Primero is seeking experienced, motivated individuals for an ongoing contract in working on our O&M Projects Team.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Supervisor role will manage all surface Maintenance activities for our client, to ensure high levels of Metallurgical, Operational and Reliability based performance.
The Maintenance Supervisor will ensure contract compliance and foster positive relationships between operational site teams to achieve successful outcomes.
This is a Darwin residential role working 7 days on / 7 days off.
Role Responsibilities:
• Advocate and maintain cost effective procedures to achieve optimum plant output, availability, reliability and performance.
• Develop and maintain effective Safe Work Instructions.
• Manage and provide ongoing direction to the site maintenance teams and establish a committed and focused team environment.
• Develop plant equipment “Life Cycle Plans” to ensure all planned work is carried out, maximising production and reducing down-time.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and relevant standards and codes.
• Compliance with all Safety Rules and Procedures to ensure all work is always undertaken in a safe manner and participation in any Safety or Training initiatives identified and implemented by the Company and/or the Client.
• Lead, Manage and mentor a team of trades and technical professionals – Electricians, Boilermakers, Mechanical Fitters, Apprentices
• Manage Sub-Contractors
• Coordinate and Drive Successful Shutdown through effective planning methods
Education and Experience:
• Hold a Mechanical Trade certificate.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor role in a Mining Operations environment.
• Experience in a Fixed Plant Operations environment, preferably within a Lithium concentration facility or wet processing environments (10 Years).
• Experience in managing Maintenance teams and ability to develop & coordinate short and long-term objective planning.
• Excellent Safety Awareness, Risk Management & Values including familiarity with HSET practices, compliance and obligations under the WHS Act.
• Continuous Improvement mindset to drive result-based outcomes across all areas of Operations & Maintenance.
• Promote a safety-first culture through Primero’s Primed for Safety framework.
• Work Order Management Experience using a CMMS (Pronto, SAP, MEX, Oracle)
