Huon’s Strahan farm has a fantastic full-time opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician looking to make a difference.
About the role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, your purpose is to provide effective, high-quality service and maintenance to the Strahan Marine site equipment and machinery. You will:
- Identify requirements for the preventative maintenance of equipment, minimising the impact of any breakdown and disruption to the business.
- Perform repairs and maintenance of net cleaning equipment including the Remote Operator Vehicle components of the machinery.
- Ensure equipment and machinery is maintained to the highest standards, identifying hazards and sources of loss associated with specific work areas.
- Assist with the implementation of improvement programmes to address non compliances including hazard identification and risk assessments.
- Ensure 5S organisation standards are upheld and modified when required.
This opportunity is a full-time position, operating on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster. You will be expected to travel to other Huon sites as required.
About you
- Relevant Trade Certificate and experience in maintenance, planning and servicing of plant and equipment.
- Sound knowledge in the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Effective verbal and written communication with confidence in your problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong ability to adapt, deal with uncertainty, and remain calm while working in a changing environment.
- Commitment and focus on safety and wellbeing.
