What we are looking for:
Reporting to the Manager Property Works and Services, you will be responsible to ensure the smooth operation, safety and functionality of our Major Facilities, including administration centres, libraries, theatre and other significant buildings.
Asset management principles, large facilities management and project management experience will feature in your skill set. As a senior point of contact for stakeholders, regarding facility-related issues, you will possess excellent communication, strong problem-solving abilities, decision making and time management skills. You will also be budget and cost management savvy.

What you should have to apply:
- Tertiary qualifications (AQF 5 or above) in facilities management; and/or trade qualification (AQF 3 or above) in a related building or construction field; and/or equivalent experience in facilities management
- Highly developed communication – ability to talk trade lingo
- Professional and pleasant demeanour with empathetic approach
- Queensland Class “C” drivers’ licence
What’s nice to have:
- HVAC or electrical qualification and associated licences
- Awareness and experience in variety of Council venues and associated maintenance requirements
