The Role:
The Management Accountantis responsible for a broad range of accounting and reporting deliverables, including reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting and financial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of complex and diverse datasets.
- Analysis of operational processes ensuring all are up to date and efficient.
- Collaborate with the team to prepare periodic financial and management reports, including monthly performance reports and statutory financial statements.
- Act as a point of support for internal stakeholders, addressing queries, complaints, technical issues, and ad-hoc requests with professionalism and efficiency.
- Provide regular updates to the team on progress and reporting and escalating findings as necessary.
- Analysing Financial performance to understand changes, providing commentary and identifying gaps.
- Following the ledger conversion, extracting information from the business systems to facilitate the completion of the month-end process to deliver the existing Excel-based outputs.
- Support the business to establish efficient processes.
- Using and applying software to gather and report financial data.
- Develop and refine practices for improved project initiation, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting actuals.
- Collaborate with finance operations teams to manage CWIP (Capital Work in Progress) and facilitate fixed asset register transfers.
- Lead the enhancement and optimization of processes related to financial management across projects.
- Drive the establishment and maintenance of comprehensive financial controls within the Region portfolio.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
- CA / CPA qualified, with 5 years prior experience in financial management, analysis, and project management.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or related industry, an asset.
- Experience from a large complex organisation or high-volume environment – preferably automotive industry.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting actuals in alignment with company and project requirements.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, using data analysis tools and advanced-level skills with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and curiosity to question
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management – ability to influence, negotiate and push back if and when needed.
- Strong leadership, communication, and management skills
- A flexible thinker and proactive leader, you will have experience working and thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
